What is an Elite Sports Massage?

There are eight different techniques used in sport massage: effleurage, petrissage, compression, friction, tapotement, vibration and percussive. Sport massage also employs range-of-motion and stretching techniques.

The Procedure and What is Included in our Elite Sports Massage

  1. Prior to any treatment that is undertaken, the client is made fully aware of the procedures that they will have so that fully informed consent can be given before beginning any treatment.
  2. Equipment is sanitized and prepared prior to any treatment as well as any areas being worked on or near.
  3. The client will then lay on the massage bed.
  4. Oil (pure and natural) will then be applied to the areas where the cups will be placed to avoid any friction.
  5. Different techniques are used to relax the muscle.
  6. Thereafter a percussive massage gun is utilized do further break down of the scar tissue in order to loosen up the muscle. If necessary scar tissue tools are used to help break down the layers of muscle to help mobilize and elasticate the muscle. These tools are known as Graston therapy or IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization).
  7. After the treatment Is complete any access oil is removed
